This was a self-initiated project created for the 10 year anniversary of Destiny 2 - a video game created by Bungie. Since I had been playing Destiny for the last 10 years, it has heavily influenced my design style in relation to the sci-fi aesthetic - therefore I wanted to make something to celebrate the milestone. It also gave me the opportunity to expand my skillset with character rigging and material creation.


This project was made by a mix using game-accurate and bespoke assets. These game assets were rigged and animated by me. I was able to create the Earth with a range of NASA image textures to achieve a photo-realistic planet.
I was able to bring 2D animation into the project in various ways. This was through the opening sequence to reveal the Earth as well as the HUD elements seen throughout the sequence. Alongside the HUD elements, 2D animation was used to create the transmat effect on the Ghost. This was done to mimic the the animation in-game.
